About program

Ala Archa is one of the most stunning and accessible alpine destinations in Kyrgyzstan. This breathtaking mountain valley, located just outside Bishkek, features towering peaks reaching up to 4,875 meters. It offers a wide range of climbing options—from scenic trekking summits to long, dramatic ridgelines and challenging rock and ice multipitch routes.

Whether you’re an experienced mountaineer or an enthusiastic beginner, Ala Archa National Park is the perfect location for a guided alpine adventure.

When to Go

Ala Archa is accessible year-round, but the best season for alpine climbing is from June to late September. During the summer months, conditions are generally stable and warm enough to attempt most of the classic alpine routes.

If you’re planning a trip outside the summer season, contact us for a custom program tailored to your needs and weather conditions.

Program Overview*

Day 1: Arrival and Approach to Ratsek Hut

We’ll meet in Bishkek and travel together to the mountains. The hike to Ratsek Hut, our base camp, takes approximately 4–6 hours.

Depending on time and energy, we may take a short acclimatization hike to higher ground in the afternoon.

Day 2: Rock Climbing Day

We’ll start around 9:00 AM and enjoy a day of rock climbing. Options include bolted sport routes near the camp or multipitch climbs on Pishchuha Rock.

Day 3: Traverse of Uchitel–Baychechekey Peaks

An early start at 6:00 AM will take us to the summit of Uchitel Peak (4,500 m). From there, we’ll continue along a spectacular rocky ridge to reach Baychechekey Peak (4,515 m).

Day 4: Ice Climbing on Ak-Sai Glacier

We’ll depart at 8:00 AM for a trek to the Ak-Sai Glacier, where we’ll practice ice climbing and gain additional acclimatization.

Day 5: Ascent of Teke-Tor Peak (4,479 m)

Another alpine start at 6:00 AM will take us to the summit of the remote and scenic Teke-Tor Peak.

Day 6: Return to Bishkek

After breakfast, we’ll pack up and hike back to the trailhead for the return drive to Bishkek.
